A recent article indicates that MIPS is ported to NT. It was in the past couple of months in either Business Week or Electronic Business Today. Also, Business Week 7/22/96 pg 72 says workstations will grow 10% annually through 2000. They lump Sun, HP, and SGI together with $13.3B in revenue.

As I've said in earlier posts, SGI is starting to move towards database servers and backend processors for web sites. A couple of years ago they didn't win many local bids because they were too expensive. They recently won a couple of good sized bids because they were cost competitive and outperformed Sun and HP.
