Clare, *******OT*******

Honestly I'm not qualified to go toe to toe with you on the merits of CS's products vs. CSCO, ASND, or COMS. Steven Richard just did a very good job on a previous post.

I'm strictly looking at fundamentals and a risk / reward profile that fits my "value-based" approach. I am not recommending that anyone do anything based on what I say in this forum. I was basically shooting the sh** on a rainy day.

Basically, CS currently trades at the lowest multiple of any of the large networkers. I believe the sell-off was overdone. They have taken steps to increase their product offering through acquisitions, and there seems to be a steady stream of rumored buyouts from NN, LU and the like. Additionally, CS is winning some major contracts as evidenced by the 2/20 press release: biz.yahoo.com

A $250 million contract with four one-year option periods totaling a potential of $1.25 billion over the next five years is not too shabby. I guess the DOD likes CS's inferior products pretty much.

I think the downside is about $13, and upside into the low $20's at least. I'm sure that CSCO products are superior in most respects to CS's, but with that comes a big big premium on its shares. As long as CS's share price appreciates at a faster clip than CSCO's (which I believe it will)I could really care less whose got the better mouse trap.
