B.C. boosts clean-energy supply, drives economic growth
news.gov.bc.ca

As part of the 2025 call for power, BC Hydro has issued a request for proposals (RFP) to acquire up to 5,000 gigawatt-hours annually of electricity from large, clean or renewable projects in partnership with First Nations and independent power producers.

BC and the federal gov't have adopted UNDRIP which provides First Nations with an effective veto on any projects nation wide. Why should tax payers have to give First Nations the funds to participate in clean energy or any other projects? All existing hydro is on First Nations lands. How long do we wait for First Nations to demand that 100% ownership of BC Hydro should rightfully be transferred to them?
