How in the world was that allowed to happen? They had an incompetent pilot who landed against orders from the ground. Probably at the insistence of the Prez. I agree with Buchanan about the Poles. If they had taken a realistic look at the situation at the start of WWII, they would have joined Hitler in a war against the Soviets. England and France would never have declared war, the German/Russian conflict would have gone on until both sides were too weak to cause trouble. And Poland would not have gone though the five decades of agony.
