"Money is neither created or eliminated by the market". Please tell Allen Greanspan so he will lower interest rates. Ever hear of "asset inflation"? Have to admit owning OE was never an example.

The commodity markets are zero sum games but equity markets are not.

IMOH: Never buy stock in companies like OE that talk about "stake holders". This new form of capitalism seems to be a con to screw shareholders. One can argue as an OE director very plausibly that it is better for OE stakeholders to take the money for the convert and ignore the consequences for a couple years to stock holders. Guess where they stick the stakes!

OE needs the money to survive and try to get their 2 stroke auto stuff a la Maleo on the market. I thought that 4S was going to be their entry point but things look bleak on that front. The original Maleo idea was great and it is not their fault it failed.

SO: given that stakeholders have priority to the minority interest of shareholders, I doubt that much can be counted on in the future since even if they decided to get out of the RGC deal you can never trust them again not to do something else against shareholders.
