Your post reminded me of something I came across a couple of years ago when a friend was looking for a new water heater. He didn't buy it but I probably would. They claim up to 50% energy savings over standard water heaters. tankless-water-heater.com I think that if available energy-saving technologies were implemented where at all possible, this country could easily save 30%.
