just touching base with you on the zap4.0 install.

so far so good... uninstall/install went seamlessly. i determined that that was the code of the road rather than installing over top of the existing zonealarm free, being that it was a version change and not just a build change.

also took care to disconnect from the web while uninstalling za, even with a router in place. with cable modem shut down, there were no concerns about worms.

running zap in learning mode right now before sliding program control up to high.

lots of extra settings here i'm not used to from having used zaf all these years.

so far so good on win2000. tomorrow i'll install zap on winxp and win98se across my LAN.

this is a hot FW... more powerful than zaf. i'm glad i started switching over
