My understanding, which is getting more confused the more I read, is that the NC (depending on whose it is) doesn't care about MS Word. The server takes care of it. In our case, the solution will probably be Lotus SmartSuite since we're implementing Lotus Notes. They both will have Java implemented. I think the cost of the NC isn't the selling point, it's the potential to save money in the maintenance/upgrading of the system as a whole. Check out the Citrix page, has a lot of good information plus a link to WYSE technology who has had a distributed Windows app. terminal out for a year now. Both pages offer arguments for this type of distributed computing. Look at the PE on Citrix ! (also note IBM announcement with Citrix....)
