Paul/Anyone,

Using any reasonable measure of computing power (FLOPS, MIPS, SPECint, etc), what is the cheapest way of buying it? Does a Pentium 200MHZ desktop give the most MIPS/$, or do you get it from a dual Pentium Pro Server, or from an old IBM mainframe?

Summary: which machine that you can buy today gives you the most MIPS/$?

Richard
