Would you classify today as one of those 10 days each year that investors would like to have been in the market? <ggg>

Very good, Bruce!

All joking aside, it is days such as today that makes it very risky in my mind for people to be out of the market. If I remember correctly that all the market's gains over decades happen in only about 8% of the trading days, surely today is one of those days that would fall in that 8%.

Just last week I explained why I never worry when the worst "down days" happen. Ironically, just a few days later (today) my portfolio advanced the most in terms of percentage of increase than it has ever advanced in one day. Despite the short-term turnaround, my binoculars are clearly focused on decades from now, not this week.
