not sure i understand your logic. a cross is a pre-arranged transaction which has to 'cross' on the nasdaq system due to regulations. of course, this may trigger other events which move the stock (especially if the buyer identity and/or seller identity and/or reasons for trade are known) but in itself it does not affect mm inventory nor does it place bids or asks in any of the electronic systems market-places. personally i have no idea whether the large block was a cross but you state it as if it were fact. so i'll take you on your word.
