Hi Topfuel,

I'm looking at the VALH financial summary posted on Yahoo.

biz.yahoo.com

Yes 90M shares outstanding is a lot of shares, but is that the float ? The float is usually less.

It appears that they earned .006/share for the quarter. If sales continue at the same pace, that's just over .02/share in earnings for the year. Even with a modest PE of 20:1, that should make VALH worth around .40/share. :-)))))))))

Susie, if you're having any trouble following my calculations -- let me know ! <giggle>. But I hope you can use this info to set a target price. Don't believe the stuff on the other threads about it being worth $1, or even .50. But that doesn't mean people won't be dumb enough to pay .50 - $1 ! :-)

Topfuel, do you have reason to believe that this earnings report is a one time event or exceptional in any way ? That would be the only reason I can think of that would value VALH at a lower share price. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.

No doubt the trading near the end was tricky though. I agree with you, when people smell a gap scenario, they sometimes get carried away.

Regards,
Chris
