Hi wily,

Like Cheeky said, the cards are great for both 2D and 3D apps. It used to be that you needed an extra card for a 2D/3D combination...not today. The V770Ultra that I picked up is absolutely fantastic for games, allows excellent refresh rates for your monitor (I have 120hz at 1024x768), processes very quickly and for all graphics programs such as Corel or AutoCAD, it's a big improvement.

People would be amazed to find out what bottlenecks can be cured with a better video card.

Some old 2Mb/less PCI video cards simply cannot handle the pixel refresh and calculations needed to display information on your screen.

Things have certainly improved in the video front the past couple of years...that's for sure.
