Richard,

hardocp.com

While this is roadmap didn't come direct from Intel, if it is real, it certainly doesn't show that Intel's plans for utilizing Rambus technology will cast aside. Is there any doubt that Camino 2 and Tehama chipsets won't be using it? From the chart, it looks to me that by 4Q00 we'll be seeing Rambus technology used in high end 1GHz and >1GHz consumer desktops (>$2.0K) all the way down to what is called the Mainstream 1 level ($1K- 1.2K) product.

If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say that might mean in 2001 we'll see Rambus technology going into the >633MHz Value segment (<$1K).

But perhaps this really isn't an Intel roadmap but just one that someone cooked up on that website. Who really knows? Ten? PB?

Gee, I wonder what Carl will say about this. I guess I'll find out in the am.

Good night for now.

Barry
