Re: DirectX 5.0 or 6.0? - They didn't say explicitly, but outside I was told that they were working closely with Microsoft on DirectSound drivers for the next DirectX release and I assumed we were hearing beta versions of those drivers.

Re: DirectMusic - I didn't hear a demo of any of that stuff but they did say that Emu had done much of the effects and synthesis work for the card (I own an old Proteus/1 so I liked that tidbit).
