Top-Ten Reasons That Divx Players Are Being Demonstrated With Open DVD

That's right. People who have seen and touched real-live Divx players
have been surprised to find that real DVD's are being used for
demonstrations, not Divx discs. Why, you might ask, is Circuit City not
demonstrating Divx to its fullest? Well, hopefully this will shed some light:

10. It is too complicated to install an analog phone line in the middle of a store with a digital PBX
9. A credit card is required but Circuit City's line
of credit is on hold
8. They can't afford it: the cost of playing a Disney
movie seven days a week for a year will be $600*
7. They are waiting for Divx discs with DTS
6. They fear that Divx picture quality might be
confused with Video CD

5. Twister is better than half the movies
available on Divx
4. They just can't keep those Divx movies in stock.
Because there aren't any.**
3. They want to be prepared for people who ask for a
comparison to DVD.
2. They want to show just how good a DVD player
Zenith makes.
1. They are trying to keep DVD's of the hands of
people who have been asking for price matching
with Wards.

*Certain Disney titles can not be coverted to unlimited play!
**Well, when compared to the 1600+ Open DVD titles
