Well, on the micro-society of ColB high school...it is being developed in the press that it was conservative students putting pressure on liberal-type students...I accept a genuine micro-society as normal and would only be alarmed if there were something behind a micro-society front... (My school experience was that there was a "bad" crowd that might not use restraint and that might have weapons...that there was a capable athletic crowd that was under control because they were a part of supervised teams...and there was a "generic" crowd...and there were not any unusual conflicts between any of these groups...)... But I just perceive J Ark as a reaction from conservative students reacting to changing attitudes...So there is not any sense of consistency in these events...
