Governor's first response to the current energy crisis - 50 weeks ago (well, the earliest I found).

Directed State agencies and facilities to conserve electricity (directive included raising interior temperatures to 78 degrees, reduce interior lighting, turn off ALL decorative lighting, turning off unused computers, shuttering south and west facing windows), and called on "citizens and businesses to undertake similar efforts to reduce their consumption of electricity".

Seems that Governor Davis was on the ball sooner than some critics might suggest.
