Hi Zeev,>>Recently, GE has been doing a lot of shuffling and shedding some of their operations. They rarely do that because everything is rosy. They disposed of an equipment renting group, some service organization, and some financial outfits. In their empire it is difficult to know what impact these outfits have, but the restlessness, indicates that old Welch is restless, and that could means troubles.

I was a manager at GE and Jack Welch sells off or shuts down any business that is not performing. If as you say there is a fair amount of shuffling and shedding going on, that is an indication things are not going well economically. I have not dug into what is going on at GE lately, but will take a peak. I currently have my GE position hedged.

Joan
