Well said. I think we have a lot more in common with them than we think. The Iranians who settled in CA adapted very quickly and have thrived.......unlike other immigrant groups. Yeah, I have no first hand knowledge, but I've read many times that the Iranian people have more in common with Americans than any other ME country. Hell, they are even a (flawed) democracy rather than a monarchy. Maybe Iran could even be the contagious "shining Democratic star in the desert" that the Neo's dream about. Plus they got all that oil!
