From grade school on most are marinated in a shallow and deficient understanding about how good stuff happens. In numerous conversations, when I thought I presented cogent ideas and evidence I've encountered absolutely impervious walls. Evidence contrary to establishes dogmas simply doesn't penetrate. That applies equally to the dull and the bright.

I skim a lot of material, but increasingly save my arguments for those youngsters I encounter whose skulls haven't yet calcified.
