Maya, I'm not just a short term trader. I'm also an Intermediate Term Position Player. I held MO for 8 months. I initiated a small position in January and bought aggressively in the ensuing months as MO came under pressure from the McCain bill.

On the long side, I'm a value player: I love when my long position tanks so I can buy more and more on the way down. That is how I make big money on the long side.
I called for a summer rally in MO when the stock was hitting new lows in the spring:

I even gave reasons for the upcoming summer rally, which turned out to be on the money:

I realize that you and some other people on this thread HATE my Guts. That is fine with me and I understand this completely as the Way of the World: I have basically been right in regard to Cube and have profited, long and short. I say again that Cube will not take off till the onset of the next Bull Market.
I may not understand Bull Markets very well, but I do, as a shortseller, understand Bear Markets exceedingly well: There is at least one more vicious leg down coming. I expect Cube to join the downside and hit new lows. From that point, there will be a nice tradeable rally.
Credibility and SI: I have many friends on SI and I share my day trades with them ( through PM's ) before the open and immediately after I sell. Actually, in some instances, we discuss in advance when to place the limit order to sell. Most people on SI are short term traders; they are more short term oriented than even I am.
Personally, I think a buy and hold strategy only usually works in a Bull Market. In a Bear Market, it is usually a recipe for financial disaster. There is no need to ever experience a 20-30% decline in one's portfolio at any time. I judge traders and investors by how they perform in Bear Markets. Anybody can make money in a Bull Market by investing in an Index Fund.

PS. Here was my last post ( for the time being ) to the MO thread:

Everyone knows where I'm coming from on SI. I don't play games and I harbor no long term resentments, like you do. If people don't know where I'm coming from, they can easily check it out. I have a long record of posts that date back to July 1, 1997. But it's good to have a messenger who destoys her own credibility.
