Please dont forget the Marine Recons!! I trained with them in Norfolk back in the 60's. They sure seemed SPECIAL to me.

I agree and I listed Force Recon in the first list. They were considered SpecOps.

Just to clarify since it may not have been clear..."Force Recon" is a USMC unit.

USMC now designates a number of units as "Special Operations-capable" and "Special Mission units". I am not sure if they are considered to be in the Special Operations family as Force Recon was/is?
