Mark Levin had a caller who said he was on the rig that exploded. He used an assumed name but Mark said that the show had checked his identity and he was the real deal; he certainly sounded credible. What he described was an enormous "kick" from the well - a great bubble of natural gas under high pressure -- that overwhelmed the blow out protector. He said the rig was relatively new and had received safety awards last year and was scheduled to get another one this year.
