Dwayne, I like the fact that the second article specifies a desire to ban the trash-carrying barges from state (VA) waterways. I don't know how successful proposed efforts could be. However, it seems plausible for a compromise to include restrictions on amounts received and, more importantly, a different method of shipment. If so, isn't now a good time for NYRR to become active in these discussions, perhaps by putting together a proposal for Waste Management or even Gilmore? Or would involvement at this level be completely out of their realm? Tom
