David's piece at the Hemingway Table is important in that it lays out the scenario of what is behind the scandal. There is a big liquidity crisis that is unfolding. The bond market cratered today and yields rose to 6.15%. There was nary a peep about it on CNBC. Only that is was such a boring day. There is so much to say, but David Tice says it like the TV people don't. Bonds are rising because there are some big problems out there. Tice, Peabody, Pickup,Barande, Bennett and Von Braun - our regular Cafe commentators have been alerting you to these problems over and over. They are here. It does not mean everything blows up tomorrow, but the LTCM fiasco was not a one off event. Systemic problems existed then and they exist now. The orchestration down of the gold price is because there are desperadoes out there that are trying to keep the truth from us. They are losing the battle. Yes, the summer will be a long hot one for Wall Street and the www.lemetropolecafe.com will be the hot place to be to get the scoop on all the action.
