James, A brief reply to your question 2: The databases INCY sells are on a nonexclusive basis. There are different "types of access" (carrying different prices I assume). For example, Monsanto probably has a different subscription than Pfizer. It is possible for two clients to have the same subscription with the same access. Comment on question 3: I think the trend towards outsourceing is part or the answer. INCY has a huge database that is continually updated. Rocketman could give a comprehensive reply to all three questions if he ever returns to the thread. Surfs up! I boogie board in the summertime here in So Cal.
