Bill: I can see your point but you and I are of the same vintage... and did you ever think that our country would come to a point where students had to think of carrying a fire arm ? We never locked cars... walked to and from school... no buses and that was for miles. I have a gun . I took the NRA gun course and scored higher than the men in class. I carry a renewal permit.. This was only because of being on two wooded acres with no one around and people coming to the door at all hours of the night having gotten lost in the woods. It was scary... So, I am not an anti gun advocate.. However, I look for answers without success as to the solution for the increase in crime in this country.This incident at VT is isolated but it may portend a more dangerous future. What I am referring to are the amount of gun crimes where I live here in Fl. Every week someone has killed someone else.. Are we out of control... Would banning guns with exception of those who do what I did.... take the course,carry a permit be the only answer. I dunno.
