"On another note, I just can't believe how wrong the Street seems to be in this sector. It makes me question my judgment, but I felt the same way when I was buying the equips in the fall of 98"
Their aim is for you to question your judgement and sell out of fear and the analysts are their paid messengers. Transactions drive Wall Street whether they are caused by excessive hype or excessive fear mongering. They are on the other side of the trade, selling at the top to irrational buyers and buying from the scared investor. This realization lets me sleep well at night and I usually win in the end. I actually relish these times with AMAT, trying to pick up more Amat and others at these prices. If amat went to 59, I would love to pick up some more there. I suspect though that CSCO and AMAT earnings will start the fall rally to be fueled by read my lips, no new rate hikes Greenspan. I believe 64 3/4 will never be seen again IMHO.
