Hi Jon..>>Sales are not down. Revenue may be down but only due to lower pricing on some upgrades (rem. we are about to ship a new release). The fact is - Novell is selling 20% more NetWare in 1996 than it did in 1995.<<

Marengi says Netware unit sales increased from 800,000 in 95 to 1,000,000 in 96 (see Post #3630). However, reported revenues for NW in 96 is about 12% lower than 95 (quarterly average in 96 is ~220M vs ~250 in 95). The unfortune thing is, the stock doesn't trade on unit sales growth, it trades on growth in revenues and earnings. Now, this is scary. If unit sales are increasing by a healthy 20% - 25%, while revenues and earnings are decreasing, HOW IS NOVELL GOING TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?. This is really the main issue as far as the stock performance.

Regards

Salah
