Gottfried, I don't presently have a router but from reading here and all of the recent security breaches, I have seriously updated my security. I think the router is a good addition to my overall security. I don't have a clue as to which products will perform best. The Netgear MR 814 Router with an Netgear MA 401 wireless PC card sounds like a good combination from the reviews. Is there a better solution? Currently running one PC on Win XP Home using cable for internet service. May add a laptop in future. Not looking for the cheapest solution. Would rather spend a little more if it'll do a better job. TIA
