Pretty much all of them have a VAT.

Quantify this. The figures I have seen indicate that American citizens pay less taxes overall. If you have different figures, let me know. Otherwise, this is yet another Tim fan dance. You think that just because you can raise some doubt, you have won.

It doesn't work that way. You have to come up with something objective.
