re: FirstStates Financial

I just spoke with Leo Doyle, who is an attorney for FirstStates (he told me he is liscensed in Pennsylvania, graduated from Temple Law in 1985). We talked very briefly, but he was very courteous. I asked him how many employees worked for FirstStates and he told me right off the bat that F.S. is a privately held company and that not everything was for public knowledge (i.e. employees, revenues, assets,etc.). He mentioned himself and Ken Christian. I asked him how many branches they had and he explained that FirstStates is not a bank, but a consulting firm, dealing mostly with risk management. They provide consulting services for other banking organizations. That's about all I got (I didn't know what else to ask since he wasn't going to answer some of my questions since they are a private co.). At least I determined that FirstStates is NOT a bank (sounds like one, doesn't it though). They are helping PABN determine if an online federal thrift is feasible.

Not a lot of info, but better than nothing I guess.
