I thought I understood this, but when I read different authors description of the Stochastic Oscillator it raises questions. I just want to be sure I am on the right track.

Jerry Gatto talks about a Stoch (7-3-10).

QP describes Stochastics Indicator Options in their pull-down window as:

%K:
%D:
Stochastics MA Periods:

Achelis in TA from A to Z describes Stochastic variables as:
%K Periods:
%K Slowing Periods:
%D Periods:

Question:
Does QP's %K = Achelis' %K Periods =Jerry's 7
Does QP's%D = Achelis' %K Slowing Periods = Jerry's 3
Does QP's Stochastics MA Periods = Achelis' %D Periods = Jerry's 10

Also, at times the Stochastic is describes with only 1 or 2 numbers, e.g., Stoch (14), Stoch (14-4). Is a 3 period moving average of the raw stochastic implied in the 2-digit. If so, what's implied in the single digit.

regards
Jim
