The Company holds a 208 claim block covering the Red Mountain molybdenum prospect in the
Whitehorse Mining District, Yukon Territory and is located approximately 80km northeast of
Whitehorse.
The Company is continuing its preliminary environmental assessment work required to obtain
permits to complete an all weather road access to the Red Mountain site and construct a decline
into the deposit to initiate a pre-feasibility study and conduct other mine engineering,
environmental, and metallurgical studies. Current geotechnical investigations at the site are
designed to help identify potential portal sites and determine the location most suitable for the
proposed decline on the Red Mountain molybdenum deposit. During Q-3 2006 the Company, in
consultation with its advisors in Whitehorse, was engaged in geotechnical, engineering,
geological, environmental, and hydrological studies required to test the potential portal and
infrastructure sites before the preferred decline collar and portal site can be determined. Drilling
activity is continuing on the four hole program to test areas suitable for portal development,
deposit hydrology and rock quality for decline development. This work will be required as part of
the permitting for the proposed underground exploration program at Red Mountain. Additionally
the Company is continuing to complete geotechnical studies along the access route to the
property. To date, thirty-seven kilometers of road have been cleared with extensive excavation
with twenty kilometers to complete the entire route to the Red Mountain deposit. This work
includes the excavation of a number of test pits to investigate route location, selected areas along
the road for construction material and foundation studies for proposed mine infrastructure (i.e.,
mill, tailings site, maintenance and camp facilities, rock storage etc,.). A preliminary assessment
has already been completed on areas at the site suitable for tailings and rock storage, mill and
mine infrastructure and road access. This work will be incorporated into the permitting
applications for is required to support the application for permitting for the decline.

Tintina suspends Red Mountain testing due to weather

2006-12-27 03:13 PT - News Release

Mr. W. Ross Abbott reports

TINTINA MINES LIMITED PROVIDES CORPORATE UPDATE

Tintina Mines Ltd. has completed its geotechnical testing program associated with the Red Mountain project in Yukon for 2006. This work has included conducting soil and summary survey of over 60 kilometres of the proposed access route to the deposit site from the South Canol Highway, commonly referred to as the Amoco route. This work has resulted in the completion of a preliminary haul road design, and the identification and suitability of summary for road and construction purposes. Final road design work will now need to be completed prior to any application for permitting for the construction of an all-weather road.

In addition, extensive environmental assessment studies have been completed on the site and the surrounding region. These include wildlife surveys, archaeological investigations, an avalanche investigation, climate monitoring and water monitoring. Geotechnical studies including site hydrology, geology, investigations for infrastructure location and suitability, are also near completion. These have significantly advanced Tintina's ability to permit for a proposed underground exploration and prefeasibility project.

Tintina Mines has temporarily suspended geotechnical testing and environmental assessment activities at the Red Mountain project due to winter weather conditions. Tintina is examining development options and will be conducting an extensive review and evaluation of these options in the near future, prior to reactivating geotechnical site and road investigations.

More news will be issued in Stockwatch regarding the project once the company has completed its internal review of findings to date.

We seek Safe Harbor.
