Elmo, Apologies for the delayed response, it's been a busy week. While those impending writedowns are not good news, they are inconsequential in the long run, and will most assuredly be ignored by Wall St. Exceptional items are always clearly separated from operational numbers in quarterly reports. Novell will be judged and valued on it's ongoing performance, not by one-time adjustments to book value. Novell is in good company with this situation, many other tech companies, with INTC being a notable example, have equity investments that are far under water. Regards, Dave
