This is like the fax scams we get regularly. Same idea, but with Nigeria rather than Iraq as the country of origin of the funds, and a bit different story.

Interesting to note that both scams (the fax one has been going on for years) use the rather unusual phrase "modalities" as a synonym for "process" (ie. the process of how you and the writer are going to get their hands on the money with no risk)

The really and truly amazing thing is that ANYONE could fall for it...yet apparently people do. Go figure.
