Hi Malcolm As a general rule when a stock acts well on a down day as particularly severe as this one, it carries the implication of sharply higher prices when things stabilize and/or the general market stages a recovery. Just as Mexico's crisis acted as a brake on an overheating US economy a few years ago, the effect may be similar this time from Asia. Message: Fed won't be forced to raise rates for the forseeable future in this current presidential/business cycle. With bonds acting as well as they are today, it looks to me as if 6% beckons. A penetration of this level would be highly significant and it will be interesting to see if the market can restrain itself from moving higher under such normally bullish conditions. Have a good trip, but watch out for the bears in them thar mountains! Rgds TW
