My neighbor never mentioned any pain and never took as much as an aspirin. She was out taking a walk 2 hours later. It took a couple of days for her vision to really get good and it's still getting better.

I have astigmatism and when I hunted it made me a better hunter. Although I may not have focused 100% at any one distance I was in focus over a wider area searching for game.

One time I hunted ducks with a guy who could see like Superman at long distances. He'd say ducks coming in from the north and we'd all hide. He was spotting them at about 5 miles out. A guy from his crew said one time a plane flew past so far out that it was a grey blob to everybody but Andy. He said he could read the #s on the tail. Bets were laid and they sent a truck to the airport. Andy collected.
