I agree with your assessment of FDR. He was instrumental both in saving our country and in building its middle class. If,for example, Willke had become president in 1940 either we would have been far behind in being able to take on Hitler or we would not have assisted Great Britain as wellin their hour of need, thus allowing Germany to invade them.
