I could be wrong, but it looks like Sun is taking the whole schmear headlong into the nix community, leveraging the mindshare/momentum and doing a wholesale rally 'round the flag anti .NET, open standard thing and then maybe branding the result; Basically Mozilla done right. And it is being done right. I was *way impressed with OpenOffice openoffice.org This thing is hitting the ground with legs. Finally a cohesive coordination between open standards (Sun) and open source (Community). There should be much clarification on this in the concall. -JCJ
