Hmmm...Oct 2000, Nasdaq (primarily a tech index) was at 3700. Hit a low of 1620 by early April of 2001 for a decline of 55%. Throw in the extra time to the end of May 2001 and the Nasdaq was still only at 2328 at the high, down 38%.

What am I missing here?
