Are you sure it is a long term capital gain? Does not matter to me, I hold all FR prefs in tax deferred accounts.

Tender offer oversubscription is pretty good news IMHO, although it means that maximum amount of cash will have to be used for note redemption.

Still hold most of my FR-J/K.
