Thanks....History is interesting and instructive if we would just pay attention....

Speaking of which....I just tried to engage a UofW Professor of American History to give a program for my group, but also mentioned to him several times that it could not be of a political nature. He proposed his potential program, totally different than the guidelines I'd given him. Instead, it would involve the actions that took place from 1940 forward that defined some of the political happenings of today. I gently replied back that that program wouldn't work, but I'd be more than happy to come to audit such a class if I could. He declined to do the program, since I had rejected it.

Today, I spent some time looking up other work he has done. Figures. It started out with his getting his PhD from Berkley.

It is just no wonder our young people are coming out with a slanted view of things.
