IGALinks.com Begins Affiliate Program for Its Interactive Golf Tournament Site Company Signs Agreement With OfficialStuff.com To Provide Reciprocal Links
DANA POINT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 14, 1999--Internet Golf Association Inc. (OTC BB:IGAT) Wednesday announced that it has launched its affiliate links program on its Web site, www.IGALinks.com.
Subsequently, the company announced that it has signed with OfficialStuff.com to participate in the affiliate program.
Internet Golf Association will have promotional links throughout its Web site that will allow browsers to proceed to OfficialStuff.com site. In addition, there will be reciprocal links on OfficialStuff.com that will lead browsers to IGALinks.com. Through that link, customers will have access to official programs of major PGA events, the ability to place orders and purchase these items online. For each product sold to customers as a result of a link from IGAlinks.com, OfficialStuff.com will pay Internet Golf Association a percentage of the gross revenues.
''Launching our affiliate program is key to several areas of our company. First, it is our goal to provide the golf community with a full informational, e-commerce, interactive golf tournament site. In effect, we want to see IGALinks.com become the defacto golf portal site on the Internet. An affiliate program is a great way to bring our browsers and tournament players new and unique content for them to explore. Second, our program allows for IGALinks.com to have reciprocal links on affiliates' sites, thus generating more traffic to our site and contributing to our product awareness campaign,'' stated Vince Castagnola, president & chief executive officer of Internet Golf Association.
''OfficialStuff.com has joined our affiliate program as a source for golf enthusiasts to purchase official programs from past, present and future PGA events. We have royalty-free, exclusive use of OfficialStuff.com's promotional logo and link. In addition, our agreement has been structured so that we are participating in a revenue sharing program with OfficialStuff.com. So, we are not only going to generate traffic both to and from the OfficialStuff.com site, we are also going to be generating revenues for the company. We are pleased to have entered into this agreement with OfficialStuff.com and anticipate many more agreements such as this in the future,'' continued Castagnola.
