a) It goes against the spirit of campaign finance reform.

b) Excusing it because "it's legal" amounts to Clintonian logic. You can defend just about anything the same way, i.e. rich getting richer, pork barrel spending, etc.

c) Even if you close that loophole, there will always be other ways to fund political speech under the guise of "non-partisanship." You already see a bunch of organizations like that, such as "think tanks."

This is the kind of "liberal logic" that suits the elitists just fine, for they know (IMO) that they will never give up their share of the power they claim the rich shouldn't have.
