AJ, I downloaded the On2 software, tried it, but I never got to see streaming media. I'm not sure if it was my connection or what. The interface seemed nice, it does look polished, but I can not comment on video quality. I got as far as seeing the video choices, but it took too long for the video to begin, so I shut it down.
The thing is, if it only works on broadband, then it does not have mass appeal. At least Realplayer works at any speed, and the faster, the better. Wouldn't you expect to see continued enhancements in realplayer as time passes? Also, the best product does not always become the market leader. Clearly, RNWK is the leader today.
I don't agree with your statement that on24 (realplayer) is primitive. I like the way on24's web site is set up. It is very easy to navigate and you can somewhat automate the stream that you want to see/hear. Maybe it's me, I don't know....
To all you WPNE holders out there, I truely apologize for the continuing discussions on streaming video, aka RNWK and now ONT. But I think these technologies are all linked. |
