Possibly you would think differently if you worked on an assembly line and had to do so many repetitive motions a minute to keep up.

If that were the case, I think you might want a Union telling your employer how many x motions per minute have led to shoulder injuries and worker comp claims.

or

Possibly I would say, "this isn't worth it for the money, so i am going to either find another job or I am going to demand a raise"

and, I doubt that I would EVER want a union involved with my job. I don't need some organization pretending to be looking out for my interests when they are in it for themselves and end up causing the business owner to:
1. Relocate to another location that provides a better value on labor (which isn't always just about absolute dollar values).
2. Increasingly use automation to eliminate employees who don't want to work anyway. (not to mention the liability of the repetitive motion injuries.)

Nope, I'm sorry, I have enough first hand experience with unions to know that I don't want to have anything to do with them.

If I owned a business and was being forced to let a union in, I'd shut the business down.
