A few comments on the insider trading stuff. One, I have it on good authority that peoplepal is right. There's no activity allowed from staff a month before quarter close and 3 days after earnings announcements.

Look up a little tax item called Alternative Minimum Tax. Rather than go through all the rules, it basically requires people to pay tax on the difference on the fair farket value of the stock and the option price. If that's in the millions, you have to pay tax on those millions just for exercising -- you haven't sold nor have you realized any actual cash. It's something that was instituted in the 80's. So if you're an exec exercising your options, you need to sell them or you'll get hit with a hellacious tax bill. Look it up.
