When do you consumers finally wake up and try alternative operating systems?

1.) When Microsoft gets broken up into 6 companies for squashing people who bundle other OS's. Bought a laptop lately?

2.) When Linux vendors provide an out of the box solution that is as reliable as Windows, that is completely compatible with MSFT stuff and doesn't require the users to don a pair of taped broken glasses, pocket protector and bow tie to operate.

I'm a Linux user, but like it or not Windoze is the best game in town.
